EXTRACTION PROCESS - SUPPLY CHAIN
Extractions are performed using supercritical CO2 technology. This is by far the cleanest method of CBD production on the market, and allows us to maintain our organic certification for extraction as well as cultivation.
PHASE 1
Material preparation
Material is ground to a 200 micron particle size, then decarboxylated at 245 F to activate the cannabinoids.
PHASE 2
Co2 extraction
Carbon Dioxide gas is compressed to extreme pressures and heated to become a supercritical fluid. In this state, it becomes a powerful, tunable solvent, which can be used to selectively extract cannabinoids from biomass, while leaving behind waxes, chlorophyll, and other undesirables.
PHASE 3
Purification
Short Path distillation is used to purify the oil, increasing its potency from 60% to around 80% potency, and improving color. Concentrate is then diluted using nano-emulsification into a variety of materials.
